We measured 108 local credit unions, community banks, and advisory firms across 32 US metros. 57.4% pass Core Web Vitals on mobile, well ahead of the big national banks, where only 39% pass. The local institution's site is the faster one.

The reputation inverts. The small institution's lighter marketing site passes far more often than the giant's heavy, feature-dense portal.
